Self Restoring Crash Cushions
REACT 350 Self Restoring Crash Cushion
Designed for permanent and workzone sites where impacts are expected more than 3 times per year or where traffic congestion and maintenance management is a concern for work crews.
The REACT 350 Impact attenuator features “smart plastic” cylinders made of HMW/HDPE plastic. When impacted within the design capacity of the system specified in NCHRP 350, the vehicle’s energy is absorbed by the cylinders and will then regain up to 90% of its original shape and capacity without maintenance or repair of major components.
The REACT 350 System includes a range of units for design speeds from 72 km/h (45 mph) to 100 km/h (62 mph) and hazards up to 910 mm (36") wide.

QUADGUARD System
Each QuadGuard System consists of crushable, energy-absorbing cartridges surrounded by a framework of Energy’s exclusive steel Quad-Beam™ panels which provide 30% higher beam strength than thrie beam panels.
The QG Systems have successfully passed the complete NCHRP 350, Test Level 3 test matrix with both the light car and high center-of-gravity pickup truck at speeds up to 100 km/h (62 mph) at angles up to 20°. Higher speed units are available.
During head-on impacts, the QuadGuard Systems telescope rearward and crush the cartridges to absorb the energy of impact. When impacted from the side, the QuadGuard Systems safely redirect the errant vehicle back toward its original travel path without allowing gating.
Repairable Crash Cushions
QUEST Impact Attenuator System
The QUEST System is a simple redirective, non-gating crash cushion that has been completely tested and has successfully passed the entire NCHRP 350 test matrix at test levels two and three. The 70mph Quest System has been tested and accepted by the FHWA after successfully passing NCHRP 350 test 3-31.
The QUEST System consists of a series of W-beam fender panels supported by diaphragms with an innovative integrated trigger mechanism at the nose that releases a “front assembly” during impacts to absorb the energy of impact.
The system is designed to telescope rearward during head-on impacts to absorb the energy of such an impact and to redirect vehicles during side angle impacts. When impacted from the side, the Quest impact attenuator is capable of redirecting vehicles at angles up to 20°. The system provides protection for hazard widths ranging from 24”-36”.
BRAKEMASTER 350 Crash Cushion System
The Brakemaster 350 is the quick and easy solution for shielding dangerous guardrail ends at wide median and roadside sites with adequate clear zones. It provides superior bi-directional protection and DOES NOT REQUIRE A CONCRETE ANCHOR OR PAD, making it fast and easy to install. The Brakemaster 350 is available at a VERY COMPETITIVE PRICE. Plus additional cost savings are realized because of reduced installation time.

ABC Terminal End Treatment System
The ABC Terminal is a steel post, energy absorbing terminal for use with w-beam safety barriers. The steel “breakaway” posts are designed using an innovative concept. Energy absorption is achieved through friction and deformation as the rail sections slide rearward.
- Performs effectively with both light cars 900 kg (2000 lb) and heavier European vehicles 1500 kg (3300 lbs)
- Speeds up to 110 km/h (70 mph)

Work Zone Crash Barrier
VULCAN TL-3 Highly Portable Barrier
The Vulcan Barrier is a portable steel longitudinal barrier that meets NCHRP 350 TL-3 test requirements as a longitudinal redirecting barrier. It is available in effective lengths of four meters, eight meters and twelve meters.
Vulcan Barrier uses a vertical steel pivot pin to interlink each module allowing the system to follow curves of up to six degrees per four meter segment.
The lightweight and stackable design allows up to 160 meters to be transported on one truck, offering a huge transport savings when compared to traditional concrete barriers.
The Vulcan Barrier can also be used as a simple median gate to allow traffic to be diverted for any reason.

Lightweight and attaches to all types of host vehicles with a standard pintle hook and 7 pin electrical connector. No modifications are required of the host vehicle.
The sleek Vorteq TL-3 Trailer TMA implements innovative multi-stage, tube-in-tube energy absorbing technology that inwardly shapes the steel tubing. This significantly reduces debris scatter thus reducing the potential for secondary accidents. The tube-in-tube design, along with the collapsible forward X-Brace improves structural stability.
