Over $1 Million Traffic Signal Improvements Contract Awarded to Traffic Tech

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) of Qatar has awarded Traffic Tech (Gulf) a contract to supply, install, test, and commission traffic signal equipment throughout Doha, Qatar. The contract has a value of more than 4 million Qatari Riyals and will be executed for a period of two years.
Doha International Airport Cargo Terminal Upgrades Its Parking Facility

Traffic Tech (Gulf) installed an Integrated Parking Management System (PMS) at the Cargo Terminal of the Doha International Airport (DIA), equipped with Qatar’s first Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) System that has lane width coverage of up to 5 meters. The project was an expansion of DIA’s existing PMS that was also installed by Traffic Tech.
Parking Management System Handed Over to Cultural Village

Traffic Tech (Gulf) together with Scheidt & Bachmann commissioned the newly installed Parking Management System at Qatar’s Cultural Village, an area that represents traditional architecture of Qatar and the Gulf Region. Under the name “Katara”, the Cultural Village hosts historical and cultural venues including a theater, a library, an arts gallery, a museum, the Gulf Heritage Center, and other academic facilities.

Truck Weigh Stations on Salwa Highway in Qatar are Now Operational

Traffic Tech Group announces the completion of six (6) state-of-the-art Truck Weigh Stations on Salwa Highway, an international road connecting Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The Public Works Authority (PWA) in Qatar has also awarded Traffic Tech a contract to operate the stations for a period of two (2) years.
Sigma Metal Industries Receives ISO 9001:2008 Certification

Sigma Metal Industries (SMI), a member of the Traffic Tech Group, recently received its ISO 9001:2008 certification. SMI has been assessed and found to be in compliance with ISO’s Quality Management System for design, development, fabrication and installation of Traffic Signs, Overhead Gantries & Cantilevers, Steel Structures, Steel Cabinets, and General Metal Fabrication. With this achievement, SMI becomes the first ISO Certified Traffic Sign manufacturer in Qatar.
