Gulf Traffic Exhibition and Conference 2013

The Traffic Tech Group showcased up-to-date technologies in Traffic Control and Intelligent Transportation Systems, Traffic Safety Enforcement Systems, and Security Systems among others, at the Gulf Traffic Exhibition & Conference that took place last 9-11 December 2013 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

Mr. Husam Musharbash, president & CEO of the Traffic Tech Group, welcomed His Excellency Mr. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, to the company’s stand during the exhibition’s opening ceremony.

Crowd drawing exhibits were displayed at Traffic Tech’s stand including Tyco’s Eclipse Traffic Signal Controller, SCATS™ Urban Traffic Control System, Telegra’s topXview™ ITS Software Platform and VMS Signs, Gatso’s T-series Speed & Red Light Enforcement Camera, IRD’s Weigh-In-Motion System, Solar Tech’s Portable VMS, Zehntner’s Testing Instruments, Excel Tech’s Traffic Counter, Kustom Signals’ Speed Enforcement Systems, Traffic Tech’s SMART ANPR, and more. It is also worthy to highlight that the company displayed a live Over Height Vehicle Detection System (OVDS), an ITS equipment that the company integrated into Doha’s SCATS UTC, installed and recently commissioned at the Duhail Interchange of the Doha Expressway.

"On top of meeting our customers, the Gulf Traffic Exhibition this year also allowed us to meet new suppliers that will enable us to deliver the right products and technologies for the rapidly growing demand in the traffic and ITS market in our region", comments Mr. Musharbash.

On the conference that happened alongside the exhibition, Mr. Musharbash was a speaker on the panel discussion entitled, Current Road Safety Trends and Mechanism of Enabling Change, where he shared his thoughts on the importance of the three E’s ( Engineering, Education, Enforcement ) in traffic safety.
